Pemerintah Kabupaten Batu Bara terus mendorong percepatan vaksinasi untuk memproteksi warga dari penyebaran Virus Covid-19 dan juga untuk meningkatkan imunitas tubuh.
Salah satu upaya Pemkab Batu Bara untuk mempercepat vaksinasi yaitu dengan membentuk pos pelayanan vaksinasi di tiap Desa/Kelurahan di seluruh Kabupaten Batu Bara. Sebanyak seratus enam puluh empat (164) Pos Pelayanan vaksin dan empat (4) mobil vaksinasi Door to Door disiagakan dengan target capaian vaksinasi tahap kedua dan vaksinasi tahap ketiga atau vaksin booster.
Saat ini Pemkab Batu Bara telah siap melaksanakan vaksinasi tahap ketiga. Vaksinasi tahap ketiga diperoleh setelah enam bulan menjalani vaksinasi tahap kedua. Hal ini dilakukan karena Kabupaten Batu Bara telah mencapai Vaksinasi tahap pertama diatas sembilan puluh lima persen (95%) dan vaksinasi tahap kedua mencapai hampir tujuh puluh persen 70%).
Hari ini Wakil Bupati Batu Bara Oky Iqbal Frima, SE bersama Kepala Dinas Kesehatan, Keluarga Berencana dan Pengendalian Penduduk Drg. Wahid Khusayri, MM, Camat Air Putih Rahmad Chaidir Lubis, S. STP, M.AP membuka dengan resmi Pos Pelayanan Vaksinasi Desa/Kelurahan yang dilakukan secara simbolis di Kantor Kepala Desa Tanjung Kuba, Kecamatan Air Putih. Rabu (02/02/2022).
Selain meresmikan Wakil Bupati Batu Bara-Oky bersama Kepala Dinas Kesehatan, Keluarga Berencana dan Pengendalian Penduduk Wahid khusairi dan Camat Air Putih memberikan bantuan sembako kepada lansia yang mengikuti vaksinasi dan pemberian bantuan alat elektronik kepada sejumlah tenaga Vaksinator.
Wakil Bupati Batu Bara Oky Iqbal mengatakan hal ini dilakukan dengan harapan untuk memudahkan masyarakat untuk mendapat pelayanan vaksinasi.
